This wasn’t a complete win for me. I did like Simon, the student in a coma whose attack starts the entire plot, and also enjoyed Jonathan, the boyfriend of main character, Dominic. But Jonathan and Dominic were in a closeted yet open relationship and were clearly a horrible match for each other. Dominic’s resentment over Jonathan’s flirting with other men was hard to endure, and it made me wonder why they were together in the first place. I also had a problem with a major plot twist. It wasn’t believable and cheapened the story. But I would read another book by this author. The writing was fine.
